Dickens Museum
This book 'English Sonnets' published by Dyce, 1833, was owned by Dickens and contains the Charles Dickens bookplate, as well as a 'Gad's Hill Library' bookplate. Gilt green leather, hardback book, black ink, illustrated. This book comes from Charles Dickens's personal library and because of the date of the book, there is a good chance he owned it when he lived at 48 Doughty Street. The book also contains the bookplate for the library at Gad's Hill Place. Bequeathed to the Museum by Noel Peyrouton in 1976
