Search the Dickens Library Online catalogue

Search tips:

• All search terms are case-insensitive
• % is automatically added to the start and end of the search term to match any part of the chosen field, e.g. 'smith' will match 'Smith', 'Goldsmith', 'Smithson', 'Wordsmiths' etc.
• Author names may be entered in 'Firstname Surname' or 'Surname, Firstname' format, e.g. 'charles dickens' and 'dickens, charles' will return the same results
• Standard MySQL wildcards may be used
  • %: any number of characters, e.g. 'rob%son' will match 'Robson', 'Robinson', 'Robertson', 'Robert Henderson' etc.
  • _: a single character, e.g. 'be_t' will match 'beat', 'belt', 'bent', 'best' etc. but not 'bet' or 'beast'
• The dummy books can only be searched by title as they do not have any of the other properties of the real books.
